How To Motivate Yourself to Workout

Are you finding it nearly impossible to get in the mood to workout? Of course, getting in a routine to go to the gym every day or to make the weekly spin class you signed up for can be a challenge. After all, the inner couch potato that lives within us all can be our worst enemy. Before you officially throw in the towel and renege on those new year resolutions here are some things you can do to get in the right mind frame.


Put On Your Favorite Workout Playlist

What are some songs that really get you going? Typically, a workout playlist is a collection of upbeat songs that are guaranteed to make you want to get up and dance. When you don’t feel like workout why not put on your playlist just to get you in the right mind frame. Listening to your workout playlist during your workout session will motivate you to exercise longer and harder.


Put On Your Workout Clothes

Perhaps the best way to force yourself into the gym is to throw your workout clothes on. Instead of mulling over it for a long time, make yourself get up and put on your gear. Take A Before Picture

The thought of spending two hours in the gym can sound unappealing. A 15-30 sounds more doable than an extensive session. When your feeling less motivated, knowing that the finish line is close in sight can be really helpful. Just think in 20-30 mins you can have gotten a workout in and you'll be feeling good about it.


Find A Workout Buddy

Having a workout buddy makes working out a bit easier. Time flies when you are having fun. In addition, a workout buddy will hold you accountable. On these days when getting off the couch seems impossible your workout buddy will be there to encourage you. Being around someone who has the same goals as you will likely keep you motivated and you won’t feel like you are alone.
