Creating Goals For The New Year

The holiday’s are here again and a new year is coming up fast. Thousands of people are starting their New Year’s resolutions lists and some people may already have their lists already made. A lot of goals revolve around fitness, self-care, and careers Which makes perfect sense because New Year New You is an insanely popular theme.

Today we’re going to talk about creating goals for a better “you”! Why? Because, why not! Create goals that are attainable or obtainable. Sometimes we set ourselves up for failure because some goals are just too high to reach so be sure you set yourself up for success. Make a vision board so you can physically see what your goals are and the steps you need to take in order to reach them. We have faith in you and we hope you have faith in yourself too! Let’s take a look at 10 goals you can maybe add to your list.

Goals For The New Year

  • 30 Minutes of Exercise Daily: 30 minutes isn’t that long at all, as a matter of fact, there are so many shows that are longer than that. You don’t have to go through an intense workout routine rather simply take 30-minutes to be more active. Take a walk, do some arm curls while watching your favorite series or whatever it is that gets your blood pumping. Physical fitness is essential for better health.
  • Read More: You don’t have to read all the time but reading one book a month is a great way to practice psychological self-care. It doesn’t have to be educational, it can be whatever genres you enjoy. Your brain needs exercise too and reading is a great way to get it. We’re not saying join a book club or anything like that but it’s not a bad idea either.
  • Healthier Diet: Healthier food choices are just better for you plain and simple. You don’t have to go on a hardcore diet or change things so much. Simply choose healthier food options. If you’re into sweets maybe swap out the chocolate cake for some dark chocolate covered almonds. People tend to cringe when they hear the word diet as if you’ll be stuck eating cardboard or boring tasteless vegetables when the truth is, there are a ton of delicious and amazing food options that will help you fill those cravings while filling your body with greatness.
  • Sleep: Better sleep can increase your brain function, as well as your body functions. 7-9 hours of sleep a night can leave you feeling super refreshed. Any more or any less can leave you feeling tired and groggy. It might sound funny but too much sleep makes us sleepy. Not only should you get enough sleep but it is also important to try to get uninterrupted sleep as well. Broken sleep can sometimes be worse than not sleeping.
  • Practice Positive Affirmations: There are videos circulating the internet of children looking at themselves in the mirror reciting positive affirmations to themselves. Simple things like “I am beautiful, I am smart, I am loved, and I will get through this” are all incredibly helpful to boost confidence. Daily affirmations boost our confidence and help us believe in ourselves and what we do! You don’t have to look in the mirror but it really does make a difference when you look yourself in the eyes and remind yourself of how brave or incredible you are. If you can believe it you can achieve it!
  • Set Career Goals: It doesn’t matter where you work or what line of work you are in, set those goals. Apply for that position you want, start your own online business, assume a leadership position or go after that degree or education you want. If you want to get into a new career or line of work then learn about what you have to do to obtain that success and go for it.
  • Hobbies: Life can be hectic and busy but it’s good to set time aside for some hobbies whether they are new or old. Model cars, working out, painting, reading or whatever they may be, take that time. Even if it’s only 30 minutes a day or a couple of hours a week. It’s good for morale and self-care. Hobbies can turn into careers if you work at it and believe in yourself enough!
  • Stretching: It might sound like such a simple goal to set but there are so many amazing benefits that come with stretching every day. Try to practice stretching in the morning before your day starts and at night before your day comes to a close. Heck, get some stretches in during your break at work.
  • Improve Something About You: Flexibility, balance, posture or whatever it is you think needs improvement. Work on getting better for you, your health, and wellness.
  • Step Out of Your Comfort Zone: Challenge yourself! Do things that are unfamiliar to you because experiences help shape who we are. You never know what you might learn about yourself by stepping out of bounds into a new realm of knowledge or experience.

  • Make this year a good one by setting goals that make you better on all levels.Invest in some new better body gear and invest in yourself. Waist trainers, slimmers, and body vests are all affordable ways to add to your better body arsenal.! Once those goals are set, don’t stop working towards them because you can do this!
