Set Goals - Make sure you start out with a good goals list that is full of things you can achieve. They don’t have to be wild and crazy they can be simple too. If you want to lose weight, set weight loss goals that aren’t drastic or unreasonable. When considering the goals you’re setting be sure to consider what it is going to take in order for you to reach them. Sometimes it is better to set your goals a little lower while aiming high because feeling accomplished helps keep you motivated and feeling good.
Make Fitness Plans - This can be fun. Look into different workout routines you like and add them to your monthly fitness plans. Choose a different plan for every month or add/subtract from routines this way you never get bored with it. It is super easy to get bored when you do the same routine day in and day out.
Dedicate 30 Minutes A Day - 30 minutes isn’t a very long time at all! Setting aside a half an hour a day to work on your fitness goals can be fulfilling. You can dedicate more time if you want but 30 minutes is a minimum that will still provide results.
Get New Gear - When people ask what kind of gifts you want for the holidays throw out some ideas for new gear. Waist trainers, body shapers, and waist training belts are just a few simple and affordable options among many. We’re not saying go get yourself a complete home gym… unless that’s what you want to do. Getting new gear can also help you stay motivated because you’ll want to use it and enjoy it.
Detox - Every so many months it’s good to go through a natural detox. After these food-filled holidays is a great time to get a full-body detox in. This will flush your body of all of the chemicals and heavy metals that get into your system on a regular basis. It can help you lose weight and feel refreshed.
Calming Activities - Yoga, walking or hiking, and meditation are all fantastic calming activities that help with fitness. It doesn’t always have to be an intense workout that keeps you in shape. Simple things like stretching and dancing are good ways to stay active, have fun, and reach your fitness goals.
Track Your Progress - Tracking your fitness progress can help you stay motivated because when you see the progress that’s been made it feels great. In some cases you might not see as much progress in areas where you’d like which allows you to be able to focus on things you might have to change or readjust. Maybe you need to add a ‘leg day’ into your routine or a little more time during each workout. If you’re trying to lose weight but you seem to be losing too much too quickly it can be dangerous so that means slow down in that area.
Get A Fitness Partner - Some people prefer to workout alone but others might enjoy a fitness buddy. You can help push one another to keep going when one or the other wants to stop. Sharing struggles, as well as achievements can help build a better relationship and reach fitness goals. Sometimes not going at it alone is a key element to success.
Reminder Yourself “Why” - It’s a wise idea to remind yourself why you’ve made the fitness goals that you have. Whether it’s to lose weight or just stay in shape, having those reminders can help you work towards achieving the goals you set instead of taking too many cheat days. Always take time to remember why you’re doing what you’re doing in order to make 2021 a better year.
The more time that passes is the less time we have on this beautiful Earth. They say there’s no time like the present so get out there and do that thing! Make 2021 one of the best years yet when it comes to everything including your fitness.
